Today is the anniversary commemorating the ending of World War I in 11 November 1918. It is also one of most important holidays for Polish people - National Independence Day, Poland finally became independent after 123 years of annexation.

Following our development update from last year we are eager to show more assets of faction, which hopefully You will be able to play in less time than it took us to prepare content for this highlight update. Every weapon and every vehicle for Polish faction is currently in game. By the end of month completly new "kitgeometry" for each class will join the party, today we are showing small cut of it. Everything You see below is still work in progress.

Honker 2000
Light transport jeep which can hold up to 8 soldiers and ammo crate. This newer version of the standard Honker 2324 is ideal for fast transport. Construction of this vehicle has been modernized over the years since its production started in 1988. Currently the Polish Army owns nearly 2000 of these vehicles and is searching for a replacement.

This has been very overdue for PR but finally in v1.3.5 we now have a lot more verity of RPG-7 Warheads to play with!

Before I begin I would like to note that not all the warheads I showed in the Guess the RPG-7 Warheads Blog are in v1.3.5 and as such, are not featured here. They will be coming in a later PR release and we will be posting information about them then. But for now we will just be talking about the RPG-7 Warheads being featured in v1.3.5 :)

Warhead Weight Classes
In PR v1.3.5 we now have three weight classes for our RPG-7 Warheads; Light, Medium and Heavy. When it comes to aiming these different types of warhead with iron sights the ranging will be done automatically for each warheads weight with the ranging menu BUT, when aiming with the PGO-7 optical sight on the RPG-7V2, you will need to know which weight class your warhead is in order to range it properly with the sights reticle.

Many of you should already be familiar with this reticle from previous releases but now with more than just two types of RPG-7 Warheads in PR v1.3.5 you will now have to use all the different ranging marks for different types of warhead. The left side ranges being for the Light Warheads like the PG-7V and PG-7VM, the right side ranges for Medium Warheads like the PG-7VL and the SAKR...

We are happy to finally show you more information about our next release: v1.3.5. When we decided that with v1.3 we would bring a bigger focus on fixes and providing a smoother gameplay, we meant it. We have continued this trend with our recent development and have worked towards another release with a large amount of fixes, balancing, and new features that will make the Project Reality experience much better.

But that's not all of course! PR:BF2's v1.3.5 update will feature, in addition to the Kashan Desert remake, 3 brand new maps! Apart from that, there will be many other new features and changes, some of which you have already seen in other blogs and highlights, such as the new Russian grenades, RPG-7 series, parachute model and mechanics, and the German TPz Fuchs. For the full change-log, you will have to wait until we get closer to release, which won't be much longer. We are currently finishing up by fixing the last issues and testing all new features thoroughly with our QA Team.

We are proud to announce that we are getting rid of another BF2 relic: The BF2 parachute.

For its replacement the more authentic parachute made by [R-CON]lucky.BOY will be added. It was originally made for PR:WW2, but since those types of parachutes are still used it will fit modern PR just fine. No worries, PR:WW2 will benefit from it as well ;)

Model: [R-CON]lucky.BOY
Texture: [R-CON]CTRifle & MasterX
Export: [R-DEV]KaB & [R-DEV]Rhino

The new parachute will now also draw for a way bigger distance allowing you to spot and engage paratroopers more easily. To add to the parachuting experience [R-DEV]KaB created new 3rd person animations.

[IMG] [IMG]
[IMG] [IMG]

As you can see the soldier is now holding the strings of the parachute instead of his rifle. This also means you will no longer be able to shoot while hanging in the air.

In addition to this new way of falling to the ground, we also changed the way you are going to deploy as a paratrooper at the beginning of the round.
Instead of having the parachute spawnpoints/planes circle the battlefield, they will now fly straight lines between two points. The green icons mark the beginning of the drop zone and the red ones the end. The planes will start as soon as the briefing time ends....
